‘Christian’, Cold cast Iron, 2025. Selected for the first round of the FACE 2026 Open Exhibition by the @societyofportraitsculptors . Sadly for me it did not make it for the final selection, but surely it will be exciting to see all the selected works. The Exhibition will take place from the 13th to the 26th of April in London at The Garrison Chapel. The abstract read: “The souls of our loved ones watch over us from above in this sacred moment before the ofrenda, adorned with their favourite offerings during Hanal Pixan ('Food for the Souls' in Maya). A few days ago I received the wonderful news that my sculpture was acquired. I am very grateful for the Society and the buyer for trusting in me and valuing my work. Every work has a lot of meaning for me and this one especially represents a milestone to me, as it’s my first selected and exhibited in the UK. ‘Broken’ 2025 Mixed materials (3D printed arm in resin, resin casted body, acrylics). A last minute call made me remove the arm of the sculpture as I wasn’t happy with the proportions. It made the moulding easier and to address the missing arm I took the creative choice of 3D print it - not only to play with the concept of traditional and new but also to show part of the character history. This character, blinded by anger and hate takes very bad choices that costs him not only his limbs (later replaced with robotic ones) but his true love’s life. The pendant or necklace was a gift he gave her when they first met. Thanks for watching! Replicas will be available at some point :) #chosenone #sculpture
Después de un año pude conocer @rhuban.mid , donde tuve la fortuna de colaborar para el proyecto de @casaorigen.mx / @espacio_enblanco , ejecutado maravillosamente por @grupobarcam . Parte del diseño incluía unas manos sosteniendo diversos elementos, las cuales elaboré y entregué en su momento sin poderlas ver instaladas, hasta mi regreso de visita a mi ciudad natal hace unos días. Una deliciosa experiencia gastronómica y espacial que recomiendo muchísimo. Es un honor haber sido considerado para una pequeña parte de este gran proyecto fruto del esfuerzo de @geraldineabraham y el equipo de Rhuban. ¡Muchas gracias!

Last week I received the great news that one of my sculptures had been selected for the Spring Open Exhibition at the St. Ives Society of Artists. It’s been an honour to meet and be chosen among other great artists, some of whom I mention below, and many I look forward to meeting. The @StIvesSociety have created a delightful experience, I encourage you to visit! The Spring Open is at the Mariner’s Gallery until the 13th of June. Thanks to the St Ives Society of Artists, fellow artists, friends, clients, family and my wife for their unwavering support.
